Arizona Swimming is the governing body of swimming in Arizona. As one of USA Swimming’s 59 local swimming committees, Arizona Swimming is responsible for managing the business affairs for USA Swimming within the State of Arizona.
USA Swimming, formed by an act of congress in the late 1970’s, is responsible for the administration of swimming throughout the United States.
Arizona Swimming is governed by a House of Delegates with representation of athletes, coaches, clubs and members of its Board of Directors. Arizona Swimming is an Arizona non-profit corporation and exempt from taxation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are deductable under section 170 et seq of the Internal Revenue Code.
